Christian Ghion
Christian GHIon could appear as a dabbler, considering the large variety of his activities : blown glass vases, plexiglas arm-chairs, Corian bathroom furniture, fitted carpet for Tarkett Sommer.
In fact, he is a prefectionist, exploring in depth each material he has set his heart on, even if he decides to change its originally intended function. Whether he deals with industrial design or with a piece in limited numbers (sideboard in Bubinga veneer and Corian inlaid work, deigned for Cat-Berro), Christian Ghion is working wonders with the design of public spaces: a restaurant for Pierre Gagnaire, a fashion boutique for J.C de Castelbajac or a lingerie boutique for Chantal Thomas (Cat-Berro participated in that project as the cabinet maker).
